My father is taking antipsychotic for i think 1 and half years, but there is no improvement. He becomes angry and irritated vey easily. So is there any side effect of this drug by taking it for a long time and is there any problem if he will discontinue it?

Rakhi, it isn't really good to take any drugs but many times we have to, to protect our health as well as the well being of others. Antipsychotic drugs are usually used for aggression and agitation in patients with dementia. Many of us see great benefit from those in that way.
