Put many trains on the same track, and beware. Confusion. And collision. When I gave Jeanne her nightly shower, we were focused on the shower. When I was hand-feeding Jeanne supper in her room, we focused on the supper. When I played music, we focused on the music. On truly embracing the moment. Even if the moment became elusive and forgotten. Still, the moment was enjoyed within the moment. --Jim

Good Evening, I went to the NH after work today to help my hubby with his shower as he will not let anyone else do this. I get up at 4:30 to get ready for work and I have to be there by 7am. I get out at 3:45pm.
Today I called him and ask him to bathe before I got there so we could spend more time together. He told me yes I called the front desk ask them to get his clothes ready for him and he refuse a to shower.
I have to come home first to take care of our dog and cat first. I get to NH home 15 minutes before supper we enjoy are visit. We get back to his room I wait an hour before I ask about showering and letting my fingers to the walking on his body. He gets angry and tells me know that I can't force him.
I found myself trying to explain to him why it was important for me to help him, I don't have the luxury of laying flat on my back all day long and watch TV. He just look at me as if he there listening to me but he was not. Nothing made since to him, I forgot everything I read about.
My question is Stage Five can he understand what I am saying? Is he in la la land? I did not think that the showers would always be easy it seems like they got harder.
I left confused and upset with myself and don't know how to handle this.
I was planning on bringing him home on Thanksgiving Eve let him stay the night. Now I don't know if I can do it. Will he know if I don't let him stay? He seems to look forward to making the dressing for Thanksgiving.
Oh my Oh my! what did I get myself into.
