My grandmother has Moderately severe cognitive decline (Moderate or mid-stage Alzheimer's disease)
She Claims that she can not see and she keeps saying " I can not see anything"
In the same time I ask her about different stuff and she name them correctly which is am sure she does see. And her sight has been checked she sees well.
But I know deep inside she means something else but she can't express it right.
Did you experience something like this with your beloved? I wish you can share
Thank you

My mother did a similar thing with her glasses. She kept saying she couldn't see and needed new glasses. It's because she has cataracts and truly can't see as well as she used to, but she can still read and watch TV. Saying she can't see is her way of complaining about the cataracts.
