Request to be connected

Every now and then I receive a request to be 'connected.' I turn these down. It is nothing against the person giving the request. I strongly feel that any conversation regarding dementia can be helpful not only to posters but also to the lurkers.  I have made an exception when the request had to do with another neurological disease i have, which is not of interest in the dementia world,

The offending post was removed, but I think the poster claimed he or she wanted to meet someone with dementia--probably trying to get a hold of their personal information.
