A message from the Alzheimer’s Association about an exciting new service we are offering our caregivers.

The Alzheimer’s Association is developing a new resource for Caregivers with our partner, Kinto. Kinto is a free, smartphone app-based service that assists Caregivers through coaching, information organization, education, and support groups. 

Kinto matches you with a Kinto Care Coach, who will work with you via virtual meetings and in-app messaging to address your most pressing caregiving needs with a special emphasis on dealing with financial matters and managing money.  

This program will run for 30 days and will include a one-on-one coaching session, ongoing private messaging with your Coach, access to the Kinto caregiver app, a personalized Action Plan, participation in a live, virtual, caregiver support group, and a group chat with your support group peers.  

Kinto is already helping families with a wide variety of topics, including: 

 

  • Financial planning 
  • Paying for care 
  • Exploring care options 
  • Managing care transitions  
  • Aging in place 
  • Understanding dementia 
  • Caregiver well being 
  • Managing family caregiving dynamics 

 

Kinto’s services are grant-funded by the National Institutes of Health, and we’re keen to involve as many families as possible, get your feedback, and continue to improve this offering.
