Medical Records and bills - how to keep track
Hi Hildegard -
I just scan everything into computer and label the folders in the 'document' section. Cheap-ish printer/scanner i think run about $70.
Or for just paperwork - an accordion folder that is standard paper-size - some have label capability, then bills sorted by date. Labels for different doctor visits, or what the paper consists of, maybe? Or even manila folders, labeled.
Hope this helps. I don't know of any specific computer programs.
Many of the hospitals and doctors use MyChart or other electronic sites to store info about visits, meds, etc. Check with those used by your LO. Once you create an access account you can get on-line to review the info and even send messages to the docs.
For bills, it depends on your tec skills and computer access. I have used just a paper spreadsheet to track bills, or software like Quicken or one of the many others out there.
