Dear Friends, it has been VERY hard for me to get back here as I couldn't remember how. I have tried several times and gave up over and over. It is difficult for me to navigate this new system, because it is new I guess. Thanks to all of you that thought of me, it really makes me feel cared and loved.

Tracy, We're delighted to find you back. I do hope this means that you'll remember how. And if you forget, until it becomes automatic, just call your local chapter.

I''ve been looking for your name and others from the old board. Now I feel better that you are here, too. Happy to see you.

As I posted in another message, people with Alzheimer's, have learned in a different way. My local chapter assigned a case manager to me that has experience and is real good at teaching. I don't know if all chapters have the service.

Steve,
I think you are very fortunate to have a case manager who can help you. I don't know if this service exists in Las Vegas. I don't need it, but if I do someday it would be nice to know.

John, each local chapter has different services. I'm not familiar with Las Vegas but the next time I'm there I hope to visit their chapter to meet and familiarize myself with their programs.
If you will go to the top of this page and select alz.org , you will find the link on the Alzheimer's Assn. home page to the Local Chapters. Look on the right hand side of your page, about halfway down, under Connections, select "Your Local Chapter".
It would be good to talk with them now to become familiar and see what support groups may be available now. We need all the help we can get at every stage.

Dearest Tracy:
I am SO glad to see you have found your way here. I have been thinking of you and am delighted to hear from you.
By the way - if you find the size of the print difficult to read; use your keyboard and simply press the Control key and the + sign. The size of the font print will instantly become larger and easier to read.
Hugs,
Johanna C.
