JAB posted a Goodbye thread on the General Caregiving board. Here is the Link:

Please read and note down any links you want to keep. That thread may not be allowed to stay long.
I'm so disappointed to see that JAB is being pushed away. She is a tremendous asset to these boards who gives tirelessly of herself with little thanks. Personally, I have learned more from JAB's posts than I have from my own doctors.

Iris,
So glad you're back! Please hang around.
Re all the good and bad comments about the Boards, people leaving etc.
I'm old enough to have experienced other events such as this in organizations I've been part of. The Administration does something that angers/ upsets many. A significant group leaves.
Each time I have chosen to stay. Why? Because in my opinion, the reason I became active in that organization always had to do with a Social Concerns issue about the betterment of some people's lives. And since I believed in the purpose of the organization, I chose to stay.
In each of the instances the wobble was temporary, and the main purpose of the organization continued. I have faith that this Forum will continue to help both those of us with the disease and our care partners and/or care givers.

Dear ALZConnected Community Members,
We understand the concerns many members have shared in this and other threads regarding the community guideline that does not allow including links to pay for click sites within messages posted in the forum. The reason for this guideline is to protect community members from commercial interests and to ensure that the users of this community are people impacted by Alzheimer's disease rather than those who may come to the site with the goal of profiting from the community. There are situations, perhaps like this one, where applying the guidelines may seem to be an over-reaction. However, our past experience has shown us that if we were to change the guideline and allow links to pay for click sites, there are other entities who would seize upon the opportunity to use the community to promote their commercial purposes. It is for this reason that we have made the decision to maintain our current guidelines.
We also know that some of you may disagree with this guideline and we respect your right to disagree. We are sincerely sorry if disagreement with the guideline causes concern or even leads to personal decisions to leave the community as that is certainly not our intent. It is our hope that we could find a way to agree to disagree about the guideline, in this case, not including links to pay for click sites, and instead focus on the main intent of this community.
Sincerely,
ALZConnected Admin Team

Dear ALZConnected Community,
In the spirit of what ALZConnected seeks to provide its community members we have elected to lock this thread. While we sincerely appreciate the candor, open dialogue and communication we feel that it’s beginning to have a negative impact on other members. We have received feedback and complaints from new and existing members that the comments in these threads are adversely impacting their experience on ALZConnected. We have heard from users that have simply elected not to participate due to this content which is counterproductive to what we seek to provide here. We built ALZConnected with the intention to provide a safe and supportive environment for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias to come and get information, support and find ways to connect with other community members.
We understand that some of you may disagree with our decision to lock this thread but hope you will understand we’re doing so in order to continue the welcoming and supportive nature that the ALZConnected community provides to its existing and new members. Please feel free to contact admin@alzconnected.org with any concerns or questions.
Thank you for joining and continuing to make ALZConnected a useful and supportive community.
Sincerely,
The ALZConnected Admin Team
