I am on day 4 or 5 of a major headache. Hopefully, it will be gone tomorrow. Mama is now up to 3 whole Parkinson's pills a day. Keeping my fingers crossed that she can tolerate it. She seems to have some hope now, they were sitting in the dark when I got there this afternoon. I unloaded groceries and visited for a bit. I left a new doll for the baby. They really seem to enjoy her staying there with Robbie Monday, we'd, and fri.

Mama seems to have a new lease on life since she started on the Parkinson's med. she and daddy were excited when I got to the apartment yesterday. Daddy's youngest sister had invited them out for lunch today. They had a few vendors selling Christmas presents in the dining room so I took mama shopping. She was dragging the scarf we bought so I grabbed it. I was afraid she was going to fall. I bundled the baby up and brought her home. She slept awful last night. I don't know how Brittany does this every night. Brett worked today so I bundled the baby up and headed over to mama and daddy's to fill their medicine planners. They had already left for my aunts. I played with the baby and did a few chores til her mom and dad picked her up. She had messed with mama and daddy's remote so I ran back over to the apartment to fix the tv. Mama and daddy were finishing up supper when I got there. I fixed the tv and did a little retail therapy. Waiting on the hubs to get home.

Mama is still doing better. I am not saying she is running races but she seems more stable. Her writing has also improved. Faded continues to be quiet but will answe questions. He does not initiate conversations. I think he is a bit depressed.

I accidentally deleted my previous posts. Mama had a good checkup at the endochronologist today. No degradation in her osteoporosis since her infusion treatment last year. She was so happy. She is practicing her writing. I am worn out. Found out in a weird way coworker has another job. Unfortunately, can't hire anyone to replace her until we can prove it. I think my boss finally realized today that this is not working. He came out and helped me for a bit. I put chile in the crockpot last night for mama and daddy. Mama was really upbeat when I got over there this afternoon. Daddy even initiated conversation wanting to know what to get Robbie for Christmas. I don't think daddy is bathing regularly, I have smelled him a few times lately. Mama said he is sponge bathing. I wonder if that is what caused his boil.

I have been sick with a stomach virus since yesterday so I haven't seen mama and daddy. I worked part of the day today but it was rough. I hope I feel better tomorrow because I will have Payton all night and possibly the other two grand babies. Of all times for brett to be committed to work at a poker party. I could use the help.

Today was Payton's first birthday party. I had her last night and she did not sleep well. We picked mama and daddy up and took them to her birthday party. They seemed to enjoy themselves. They sat by Brett's 96 year old grandmother. They talked to her and watched all the babies. I think they were really tired. I helped clean up then took them back to the apartment. I did their meds for the week and headed home. I will sleep well tonight.

Today was a nasty rainy day. Mama and daddy didn't want to go to church so I went over and visited and ate lunch with them. Brett did honey do chores and we both took a long nap. Overall, it was a good restful day.

We are plugging along. Work is hectic and I am just worn out. I go to mama and daddy's every day to visit and make sure they eat supper and take their meds. Daddy seems to do okay as long as he is in familiar surroundings. I took him to SAMs today. He only responded to questions, he did not initiate anything. The only thing he said without being prompted was how bright the sun was. I think bright light hurts his eyes.

I made it all day at work but I struggled with a migraine and stomach cramps. Robbie and the baby stayed with mama and daddy all day so I didn't go back this afternoon. I checked in on them several times today and they had a good day. Daddy and mama went to see aunt Mary today. I think it was good for all of them. I came home and did some deep cleaning that is long overdue. I am sitting here watching my crazy dogs play with each other. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. This time if the year is hard on so many.

I have had the baby more lately because her mama has been working 16 hour shifts and her daddy has kidney stones. Unfortunately, she has a double ear infection and roseola. I have visited with mama and daddy as much as possible but adults can get roseola so I don't want to expose them. I took them beans and ham Saturday and did their pill planners. I took them to church early because mama started coughing and couldn't quit. I ate lunch with them then headed home to spend time with the hubs. I work 2 days this week, 3 days next week then I start my 4 day weeks.

My husband has started having nightmares about heights, like the bed being on a tall tower and he might fall. Has anyone else had a loved one with LBD experience this? How can I help my husband?

Mama has not had that specific issue but she does have bad dreams that she acts out at times. She also sees things that are not there. I think lbd manifests itself differently with different people. The medications seem to help but she still has bad days.

You know, a lot of us with PD, LBD, or similar diseases have problems with balance and vertigo, especially when lying down. I found I could not sleep in a regular bed because I was experiencing vertigo, having problems turning over, would lose my balance and literally fall out of bed, hit my head on the nightstand, etc. I switched to sleeping in a canvas sling-style camping cot with a memory foam pad. The canvas sling cups down just enough to cradle me while I sleep, so I don't feel like I am going to fall out of bed. It is actually pretty comfortable, my back no longer hurts, and I get a decent nights' sleep. I also am not awakened by my restless DH, who still sleeps right next to me in the 'big' bed. The cot also is lower to the floor than the bed, and easier to get up out of. Yes, it's a compromise, but it works... It's also a lot better than regaining consciousness on the floor with a raging headache, concussion, and severe bruising from hitting the nightstand on the way down to the floor because I fell out of bed due to a vertigo bout.

I spent the morning at the neurologist. He is trying a new drug as a migraine preventative. Of course, he said caring for my parents is probably not helping the headache situation. Not much I can do about that. I left there in a storm and headed over to mama and daddy's. I played with Payton and ate lunch with mama and daddy. Daddy was actually visiting with some of the residents, praise the lord. Mama was doing decent but is confused with the holidays. I had to keep explaining to her when Christmas is. She will be messed up next week with New Years too.

We have had a quiet Christmas. We slept in then headed over to eat lunch with mama and daddy at the apartment dining room. I loaded mama and daddy up and we headed out to my sons house. They were over at her grandparents which was great for mama and daddy. They seemed to enjoy visiting. Brett met us there then headed to the farm for the last hunt of the season. I loaded mama and daddy back up and dropped them off at the apartment. I am now home and get the evening to myself, yay! These times are few and far between.

Tomorrow is our big family Christmas. I will be keeping the baby tonight. I have all her little toys cleaned and waiting on her. I am going to get cleaned up and head over to mama and daddy's. I have been a little depressed this holiday. I hate families can't get along. I hate we are estranged from Brett's family this year. I thought about calling his mom and wishing her a Merry Christmas but I am not in the mood to get chewed out. I am trying to be thankful for my blessings. While mama and daddy aren't doing the best, they are able to be somewhat independent.

We had a wonderful Christmas at my son and daughter in laws yesterday. The baby spent Saturday night with me, brett was in the deer woods. I got ready, loaded her up then picked mama and daddy up. We then drove to little rock to pick Brett's grandmother up. My terrain was. Loaded down. Mama really talked to Nannie like she did before she got sick. Daddy was very quiet although he really thanked me for a pair of rockport shoes I got him. I think he may need more olanzapine but it is bad on his already bad heart. Brittany made me a book of Payton's first year and Jeremy and Kayla gave us a gorgeous framed matted picture of all three grand girls. We left about 3:30 to take mama and daddy back home. The temperature has dropped and it was about to storm. I got them unloaded and headed home about the time the storm got bad. Brett took his grandmother home. I started getting a migraine. Not sure if it was from lack of sleep or the storm. Fortunately, we missed the tornadoes but huge lightening hit Brett's work and fried all the electrucal. I stayed home with a migraine. I hate I missed my last Monday at work. I am working on getting motivated to head over to mama and daddy's to check on them and pick the baby up. Today is Brittany's 16 hour shift and billy is out of town. I finally got the dogs settled down from the storms. The weimies are petrified of storms and all tried to lay across me at the same time. Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas. I know this is a hard time of year for so many.

Mama called so excited because she could get down on the floor and back up with no help. The Parkinson's med is really working. Daddy on the other hand is not acting right. I am going to ask Sr. Kahn about increasing his olanzapine. Made it all day at work but the headache came back at 2 pm. I think it is this crazy weather.

Today has been a challenge. Mama is confused because I am off tomorrow and Friday so I won't need Robbie. She is also upset because Monday begins the changeover of Monday care from Robbie to me. Robbie said mama almost cried when Robbie left. I tried to explain to her that it is just one day a week but I did not get through to her. Daddy is just blah, nothing interests him. I am hoping doing things on Mondays will help. I am not that familiar with vascular dementia to know if he is depressed or confused

Today was a better day. I went for my Mri and eeg. I was able to do the Mari without sedation, yay me. I left there and headed to mama and daddy's. I took daddy walking and checked his sugar. It was 190, I am not sure what he has been eating. I cooked their supper and visited for a bit. They were both doing better than yesterday.

Brittany brought the baby over at 6 am yesterday on her way to work. She slept another 2 hours. I got ready and we headed over to mama and daddy's. She was in her entertaining mode so she sang and danced for mama and daddy and the people at the retirement center. Mama had not taken her morning pills so I gave them to her. We ate lunch in the dining room, Payton did well. Mama and daddy ate good. Checked daddy's sugar and it was 228 so we took Payton and walked on the fifth floor. We got his sugar down to 180. He said he would walk later. The baby and I headed home. Brett and I were entertained by the baby last night. She slept horribly. We got up for the final time at 8 this morning. I fed her breakfast and we headed to the apartment. Payton wax once again the entertainment and she was eating it up. I should definitely lose weight because that little sucker can get away from you quickly. We ate lunch with mama and daddy. Everyone ate well. All the residents were talking to Payton and giving her kisses. Mama and daddy loved it. Brittany and billy came to pick up the baby. Daddy was very talkative with billy. Aunt Mary and my cousin came by to visit. It was really nice visiting with my cousin. Daddy laughed a lot while his sister was there. I headed home, Brett and I watched the Razorbacks play and went out to eat. All the dogs are taken care of. I am going to bed.

I took mama and daddy to church this morning. The hubs played hookie. Daddy's sugar was better today. Mama was not getting around well at all. We only made it halfway through church, her back started hurting. I ate lunch with them and did their pill planners for the week. Daddy was extremely quiet again, possibly depressed. Looks like I will have the 4 month old grandbaby along with the 1 year old grandbaby, may be interesting because I am going to spend time at mama and daddy's too. I may need a nap.

Today wS my first day of semi retirement. I kept my 4 month old and 12 month ok grand abides. Let me tell you, I was busy. I loaded the girls up and took them to the apartment. Mama and daddy helped a lot. Mama walked Payton in the stroller for awhile. Daddy helped with Hannah. They will sleep good tonight. I think they felt needed. Daddy is sleeping a lot during the day, a bit concerning.

Work was hectic today. Yesterday was physically exhausting. Today was both physically and mentally exhausting. I feel like they make crap then I have to decide what to keep. My plan is to completely retire October 2017. We will sell our house and build a house in mccrory. I am really looking forward to this. I plan to move mama and daddy with us if they are still alive. I hope they can live in their house, we will build next door. If not, I will move them to the nursing home there. I think it is important to have things to look forward to because otherwise, I think caregivers would go insane.

Just two more work days this week. It was a hectic day but doable. Daddy drove mama over to aunt Mary's for lunch. I think they had a good time but daddy was very quiet. He pretty much only responded when asked a question. He started his increased dose of olanzapine tonight. I hope it helps. He has never fully gotten back to the way he was before the doctor took him off the olanzapine. Hopefully, the increased dose will help. Mama is struggling today to carry on a conversation. Some days she is very sharp. I hate dementia.

Robbie stayed with mama and daddy until noon. Mama and daddy decided to take the truck to get washed and go to Walmart during the rain. I worried until they got back home. I took them ham and pinto beans I had cooked. They ate a good supper. Daddy actually laughed a couple of times when I was talking. He also initiated a little conversation. I brought home their clothes to wash. They are currently in the dryer. I hope daddy does better with the increased olanzapine. Tomorrow is supposed to be a slow day at work so I hope I can get somewhat caught up. We are keeping the one year old grandbaby tomorrow night. I think we are taking the three year old on a date Saturday.

We kept Payton last night. She is really getting a funny little personality. It stormed last night so the dogs kept waking her up howling. Her mama picked her up around noon. Brett and I headed over to mama and daddy's so I could do the pill planners. They seemed to be doing pretty good. They have been walking about 15 minutes a day in the building. Mama has actually been using her walker, yay. Brett and I headed to Cabot because we had a date with our 3 year old grandbaby. We went out to eat and took her shopping. She kept us laughing. I don't know where she comes up with some of her phrases. We took her home, fed her sister a bottle and are now home.

Brittany dropped Payton off at 6 this morning. She took a short nap, ate breakfast and we headed to the apartment. Mama and daddy were sitting in the dark when we got there. Mama had taken her shower and done her hair. It didn't look the best but I was so proud she did it herself. Daddy's sugar was over 200 so we walked 15 minutes. It dropped 50 points. Mama did very well with her walker. She was able to keep up with us. She is getting her confidence back. I don't know how long it will last but I will enjoy it while I can. Daddy's weight stayed the same today. I guess he is just gaining weight. I was afraid he was retaining fluid. I went to my dermatologist appointment, no cancer yay!

Mama and daddy seemed to have a good day today. Robbie had them walking this morning. Mama insisted Robbie take daddy shopping for jeans. She had asked me to order daddy pants and jeans which I had already done, they just haven't arrived yet. I picked them up supper after work and put chile in the crockpot for tomorrow. Daddy initiated some conversation which is an improvement. I take mama to uams tomorrow for her follow up checkup.i am now home and the weimies are running in the backyard.

I took mama to the doctor today. She got a very good checkup. We are just waiting on urine and blood test results. She was upbeat and very talkative. She struggled for words but made sense. Daddy was laughing in the lobby when we got back. I didn't stay because I hoped they would stay and socialize. I had already made chile for their supper. I am now home waiting on brett.

I started running fever at 7 last night and was sick all night. I worked 1/2 day and went to the doctor. I have strep throat. Fortunately, I had fixed enough chile for mama and daddy to last through tonight. I am not sure if I am going to work tomorrow. I took a vacation day for tomorrow just in case. I found out today we are working Saturday so I won't be keeping Payton Friday night. I probably wouldn't anyway because of the strep throat. I am feeling a bit depressed tonight probably because I am sick.

I stayed home today, I would have had a hard time at work today. My body aches, and I have a migraine. I had sandwiches from jimmy John delivered to them. Mama fell getting in the rocker today. Daddy fell letting billy in the back door. Robbie said they are both okay. I wish I wasn't sick so I could check on them. I have to work tomorrow so I will go see them after I get off.
