Suddenly starts shaking
As you know, the journey is different for each PWD because of the different parts of the brain that is affected by the disease process. The shaking could be caused by so many different things. The brains disease, but also low blood sugar, low potassium to the muscles, fatigue, referred pain, on and on. Ask your mother's doctor to do blood work if she is not on hospice. Good luck!
My mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's because of her shaking and stiffness of leg movement
My mother started tremor-type actions in her arms and hands. Right after waking up and other times. It lasted about 2 months. It has disappeared at this time. Her geriatric specialist told us that there are many possible causes but in our case, it was probably anxiety. When stress was lessened and less strangers in the house, the shaking went away.
