I am still very new to this sight being the care giver to my LO with Dementia. Its been only 5 months caring for her. God bless all you that have been doing this for years. I have found that I live in an area that does not have much to offer as far as a community of folks that exchange, talk , meet or just have an ear to listen. I have reached out on other sights to try to start up such groups, with not much luck. I am asking to see one if there are any suggestions how to or anyone in my area that will read this post. Temecula, CA. When we had children we got together with others for play dates, parties, gatherings to enjoy life together. I feel there is nothing of the sort for our parents or loved ones with Alz/Dementia. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this or has any suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

You are not far from Loma Linda University Medical Center which has an Alzheimer's Disease diagnostic center.  You might call an ask if there are any outreach facilities or resources in your area.
