Alz+,I don't know about video.  I have been to several conferences before.  The focus is on caregiving and local resources.  They usually have three panel members with their care partners to talk about how they are dealing with living with dementia.  I will be the only one without a care partner.  This will be a first for them.  But I will report as much as I can.

I'm back from the Early Memory Loss Forum.  There was a great turnout, about a couple hundred people or more.  There were three speakers, an elder attorney, a nurse who spoke about wellness and fitness, and a neurologist who spoke about diagnosis and treatment.  They all took questions.  In addition, I was on the panel with another patient with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease, vascular dementia and Parkinson's Disease.  He was accompanied by his wife.

After we panelists spoke, Dr. Hart, the moderator, asked the audience members to write us panelists a brief note of encouragement or appreciation.  I received so many loving and positive notes!  This was truly an uplifting experience!

The only negative was that there is still so much need for very basic information about the dementias.  Resources are still limited.  Our chapter covers a huge area.  This is the first time a Forum was held in this part our huge county.  More resources seem to be coming.
