Today's Her Birthday
Today is Sandy's birthday.
She turns 79 today. I took roses to her resting place this morning and told her how much I love and miss her.
For the last three years of her life, we started participating at Karaoke. We had several songs that had personal meanings for us.
I guess it's fitting that her birthday fell on Karaoke night this year.
I'll be singing this one in Sandy's honor tonight. God, how I want to be with her...
Army Vet, how sweet that you remember Sandy in this way. I'm sure she'd be pleased. George Harrison was always my favorite Beatle, too.
I have a friend who passed away about a year ago and her husband remembers her with flowers, too - anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
I certainly understand that God how I want to be with her. I
know that Sandy would be proud of you singing your special song in her honor
I take balloons to Linda grave and write notes on
them I tell her I love her and miss her then send them to heaven for her to
read, I can’t explain it but it does give me some kind of peace, I
think it will for you also God's Blessings to you Richard
I just got home from Karaoke this evening.
I felt like I celebrated Sandy's birthday tonight singing three songs to her - "The Summer Wind", "What Is Life?" and "Draggin' The Line".
Several of our friends were there and they helped me get through this evening.
I appreciate the kind comments from every one who posted. I needed your support and it helped.
What a loving tribute. Wishing you peace and strength in all the days ahead. Thank you for all your sharing.
I just saw this thread, and I'm glad you updated. It must have been emotional to sing the special songs, but what a loving tribute! I had to listen to "What is Life" twice through, such a great song.
