Does anyone have any thoughts regarding working/being able to work with a MCI diagnosis? Does anyone have relevant experience? Thank you.

I worked and as things got worse that is when my staff noticed and talked with higher ups I went from Principal to Asst Principal--to Teacher to Teachers Aide so I can't complain. If you have the opportunity to go to part time or job sharing that is a good idea even volunteering. I did the Lions Club but after awhile that was too much also. Reasonable accommodations is what my boss asked me for a list--they were fantastic./ As long as it does not impose upon coworkers too much they will hopefully be happy to work with you.

I worked for a year after the MCI diagnosis. It was six months before retirement at 66. I noticed the changes, however. very thankfully my Boss didn't. Had he noticed, I am certain he would have found a way to let me go versus allowing reasonable accommodations. I was the Human Resources Manager, so very confident eventho it would not have been legal. That is simply the way J is.
